New Release: SOLISCADA V7.00.00.00- We highly recommend downloading the latest version now!
In SCADA systems, storing historical data for critical equipment parameters is essential. SOLISCADA enables this through tag-based historical trend configuration, supporting redundant servers, data backup/restore, and robust data reliability. This guide details the configuration workflow.
Configuration Guide
1.Redundant Server Setup (Optional)
Skip if redundancy is not required.
In the Engineering Management software, open the target project and navigate to Network Architecture. Select the Server Group on the left, set the server count to 2, and configure IP addresses for primary and redundant servers. (See the example values below and you need to replace with actual IP in practical applications).
Note:
l No need to add Historical Data Server.
l Configure server group IPs only.
2.Database Tags Creation
In the Engineering Management software, double-click Database in Engineering Manager. You can add driver tags, secondary calculated variables, etc. per project requirements.
3.Tag Grouping (Optional)
Open Tag Grouping in the Engineering Management software. In the All Groups panel, right-click to add/delete or rename groups. Right-click to assign tags to groups via the Tag Management panel on the right.
4.Historical Trend Configuration
Historical trends must be configured according to the following flowchart, and all steps are mandatory.
4. 1Historical Trend Tag Configuration
In the Engineering Management software, double-click Historical Trends or right-click and select Edit to enter the Historical Trend Configuration interface.
Right-click the Historical Trend Tags, and select Add Historical Trend Library Tags to enter the Tag Selection page.
Hold Shift for multi-select tags, and then click OK in the lower-right corner to confirm.
Right-click the Historical Trend Tags and click Property Settings to set the collection cycle and compression type respectively.
4.2 Historical Data Server Configuration
Right-click Historical Data Server and navigate to the Add Historical Data Server page, check the required servers, and click OK to confirm.

4.3Enable Tag Groups for Recording
Left-click the Added Historical Data Server, check the tag groups to be recorded in the right panel, and click Save.
4.4File Storage Settings
Go to Tools and click Trend Database Settings to configure the file recording time and database retention time.
l File Recording Time: Indicates the duration of historical data recorded in a single file (default: 12 hours).
l Database Retention Time: Sets the retention period for data files. Files exceeding this period will be automatically deleted.
5. Flowchart - Historical Trend Table Integration
Create a new flowchart page. The position of the historical trend table control is as shown in the figure.
Drag/drop a historical trend table, then right-click and select Control Properties to enter the property settings page, where you can add display tags.
The Trend Control shown below can also be used. During runtime monitoring, click the left button to pause, then use the left/right arrows to quickly navigate historical trends. Alternatively, click the right table icon to quickly open the historical trend table control.
6. Historical Data Query and Export
After completing the configuration, you can save the configuration, publish, and run the monitoring to review the results.
Query Data
Configure start/end time and the query interval in runtime monitoring.
Export Data
After querying data, click Export in the lower-left corner to export and view historical data.
Note: If the historical trend table shows ### during runtime:
l Verify the query start/end times: Ensure queried data exists within the selected period.
l Check server configuration: Confirm the historical servers are correctly configured..
l Validate tag groups: Ensure the tag groups have been selected during historical trend configuration.
